2,2 '-(cyclopropane-1,1-diyl)bis(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane) is an Organoboron compound, often abbreviated as CP-Borane. It has the following properties and uses.

Use:
-Catalyst: CP-Borane can be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis, especially in hydroboration and reduction reactions.
-Boron nitride Source: CP-Borane can be used as a precursor material for preparing boron nitride (BN) films or nanoparticles.
Method:
CP-Borane can be prepared by the following steps:
1. Under anhydrous conditions, cyclopropane reacts with 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3, 2-dioxaborane to give 2,2 '-(cyclopropane-1,1-diyl)bis(4,4, 5,5-tetrathyl-1, 3,2-dioxaborolane).
2. In the presence of hydrochloric acid, the above intermediate is reacted with NaBH4 to remove the dioxaborane part to generate the CP-Borane product.
